Data on this website

The data on this website are updated annually and currently cover the reporting years 2006 - 2010.

In 2010, the Schindler Group's total energy & GHG footprint and total environmental costs remain dominated by over two thirds by the operation of its global vehicle fleet of approx. 17,000 vehicles.

The Group continues to support social initiatives worldwide. In 2010, around CHF 5 million were donated to deserving causes. This corresponds to 0.7% of net profit. Donations include contributions made to charities, various sporting programs and events, cultural and social projects as well as education and scholarship programs.

Data scope and quality

Every effort has been made to provide consistent and accurate data. Based on past experience, the accuracy of the data has an estimated error margin of +/- 20% with exception of the VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds). These calculations are based on estimations and extrapolations, so the accuracy of the VOC data can deviate substantially.
